Mrs. Ramsey brings over a decade of experience and leadership in home health and hospice settings to Southland. Mrs. Ramsey’s background in nursing sets the foundation for the compassionate and quality care she works to instill in all of Southland’s health care offerings. Mrs. Ramsey believes prioritizing patient care is of the utmost importance in home-based health services. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Ramsey served as VP of Operations for Accentcare’s Texas divisions where she was at the forefront of 17 successful strategic agencies with annual revenues in excess of $80M and an overall quality 4 STAR rating.
Lori began her nursing career in 1989 as a critical care nurse, specializing in neuro and trauma care. Lori found her greatest joy in home health, where she has compassionately served for the last 28 years. Lori has spent the last two decades as a home health administrator, facilitating home health acquisitions, managing hospital-based home health agencies, and managing agencies for national home health organizations. Lori’s passion remains home health and she strives to develop relationships with those who share in her commitment to providing exceptional care.

Mr. Johnson has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare operations across the acute and post-acute care spaces. His career has included a number of senior executive roles managing multi-site, geographically diverse portfolios of skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care hospitals, and home healthcare agencies. Among David’s most recent assignments he served as Senior Vice President, Texas Home Health for Accentcare in Dallas, TX where he was responsible for 22 agencies serving approximately 7,000 patients and generating over $100M in annual revenue. David holds a Bachelor of Science, General Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters of Business Administration, Operations and Finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.

For the last two years, Katina has connected the senior community with the services offered at Southland. Katina serves the geriatric patient population with compassion and dedication. She loves advocating for these patients and ensuring they’re able to age with dignity. In 2008, Katina moved to Arizona from Virginia with her high school sweetheart, children, and dogs. Katina enjoys camping, traveling, and reading on a beach. She loves to share these experiences with our patients. Prior to working at Southland, Katina successfully launched businesses in the food and beverage space and a family business in the automotive paint industry.

Owen began working in healthcare 25 years ago, while serving in the U.S. Navy. Owen developed mobile hospital units, served onboard the U.S.N.S. Mercy, and supported traditional hospital operations. Upon leaving the Navy, Owen received his PhD in Healthcare Organizational Systems; Masters in Healthcare Administration; and a Bachelors in Business Management. Owen holds certifications in project management, healthcare compliance, and medical billing. Owen has applied his knowledge as a healthcare administrator and educator in higher learning. His focus areas include: healthcare administration, practice management, leadership, change management, compliance, credentialing, billing, collections, practice development, recruiting, and marketing.
Abigail brings years of experience in hospice care to Southland Hospice. At Southland, Abigail works alongside the patient advocates to help patients, family, friends, and caregivers, understand the gift of hospice. Abigail believes every patient has left a legacy of their life and a footprint on the world. Abigail’s goal is to honor this legacy through compassionate care and resources to assist them on their individual journey. When Abigail comes to work, she remains focused on providing patients and their families with the best individualized care possible, with a focus on dignity and honor.
